gable20As the name suggests, this style is particularly suited to any gable situation (able to offer a massively increased feeling of height), however this style is not limited to these architectural situations alone.

A gable-end conservatory can add real grandeur to your home. Gable-end conservatories date back to the Georgian style, of which modern gable-end conservatories are a variant. With a gable-end conservatory, the front of the roof doesn’t slope back to the centre. Instead, the front of the conservatory stays upright, like the end of a house.

Like the Edwardian, the Gable has a rectangular base which gives maximum flexibility to interior planning. These styles are excellent for capturing the period heritage of conservatories. It’s a style that’s reminiscent of the opulent orangeries and conservatories of bygone centuries. Gable-end conservatories have stylish front elevations with windows that extend right to the apex, giving them a specious feel and a stately grandeur that’s perfect for modern and period homes.
