A-rated UPVc windows

The need to reduce household energy costs is high on everyone’s agenda, and energy efficient double-glazing from County Windows enables customers to make an informed choice on the best windows for their home.

In addition to their wide range of energy-rated glazing options, County Windows now offer A-rated UPVC windows, the highest rating available.

Double glazed windows can now be rated in the same way as white goods, such as washing machines, from A to G. A-rated windows are now considered best practice by the Energy Savings Trust, as they exploit much less energy, have less of an environmental impact and are cheaper to run.

How do energy rated windows help me?

Changes to Building Regulations Document ‘L’ from 1st October 2010 will require all new and replacement windows to achieve a WER (Window Energy Rating) of at least a ‘C’ rating or have a ‘U’ value of 1.6 W/m2K or lower. While these are minimum standards, choosing ‘A’ or ‘B’ rated windows will provide your home with significantly more energy savings and warmth benefits.

Your home may also look more attractive to potential buyers in the future and energy-rated windows will help to improve the overall energy rating of your home.
